Diving in Santa Marta.

Diving in Tayrona National Park is an unforgettable experience, Located at the foot of the mountain of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta is an area rich in nutrients that create a great diversity and quantity of corals and very colorful fish that undoubtedly makes the Dive experience something magical.

Tayrona National Park is a wonderful place to dive. There are 22 certified sites where it is possible to dive into the marine world, where you can find the reefs with soft and hard corals, sunken ships and a great variety of marine life. Here you will not see too many large animals, but there are a lot of beautiful corals, sponges, anemones, as well as lots of puffer fish, angelfish, lionfish, scorpion fish, brunettes, lobsters, octopus and much more!

The water temperature is between 23 to 28 C, and visibility can be up to 30 meters. Tayrona Park is a great destination for those who are just beginning their underwater adventures. The sites for beginners in the Park are well protected from trade winds and are generally calm and shallow, with an average depth of about 12 meters. While more advanced sites tend to be deeper (18-40 m) and have slightly stronger currents, which makes them perfect for drifting diving.

Playa Cristal

As its name says Playa Cristal is a beach with crystal clear waters and is one of the quietest beaches in Tayrona Park, housing a maximum of 300 people, in this silver you can enjoy a quiet day either sunbathing or snorkeling. In addition, you can enjoy a delicious dish typical of the area such as fried fish with coconut rice, salad and patacones.

Cabo San Juan

Among the beaches of Tayrona Park this is one of the most recognized, as it offers one of the most impressive views of the jungle by the sea, where you can also enjoy the magical sunset, To get out San Juan you must do a walk around 2 hours, where you will pass different beaches.
